Christmas Frazzle

Christmas is a coming

And the goose is getting fat

It’ll soon be time for cooking

I suppose…I’ll be doing that

And what about the tree?

Oh! I’m doing that bit too?

And wrapping all the presents? uh huh

There’s so much left to do

Yeah, Christmas time is coming

It comes, but once a year

But it brings a lot of doing

To bring that Christmas cheer

And guess who’s doing that doing?

And making sure it’s done

Yeah, it’s me, alone, yours truly

I keep ‘em happy, everyone

Because if it ain’t done right’n’perfect

There’s always a complaint

“Where’s my favorite dressing?”

Ohhh, it takes the patience of a saint

But, I’ll keep myself together

As I finish up my tree

And I’ll wrap the hundredth present

You know,

there ain’t nothing under there for me

But oh well, Christmas is for giving

And for making sure it’s done

Family, friends, then dinner

The day is almost won

And when it’s finally over

As the chaos ebbs away

I thank the Baby Jesus

That there’s just one Christmas Day

This poem is for all those lovely people

who do everything to make

Christmastime special, thank you
